Last week I decided to give it another shot out at Firebird International and ran some new bests.
First and second runs were 13.52 and 13.56. On the last pass of the night I upped the shift points to 5600 rpm and clocked a 13.49 @ 98.3 Mph. Also I finally broke into 1.8x 60 ft times. I think 1.85 was the best for the night. Eighth mile times hovered at 8.55 seconds. Now its time to go larger on camshaft and see what happens.

 

Congrats on your personal best, next time get some video, would love to see that. What all you got done to our car?

Thats quick! Street tires or slicks?

 

I run on some used 30x9 goodyear slicks.. my district manager races in NHRA events with his nova so he sold them to me dirt cheap and i put them on old wheels. I tried to run on BF Goodrich drag radials i bought years ago but its like racing on my street tires.. no grip whatsoever.. i would have to roll into it off the line.. i think they're 26.5" tall but 10.5 wide. too bad it weighs so much..

 

Thats real quick for those tires! Seems like your making some nice power!
