My day at the track....
It took me about an hour i think because it was my first time taking off my upper intake manifold, so i really didnt know what i was doing. But it is pretty straght forward on what to do. just take off the bolts holding the UIM and then move the fuel rail out of the way ( i just zip tied it to my windshield wipers and it was out of the way) then you should have enogh room to pull the stock runners out of the way and get the HV3 in.
when i put the HV3 in i also put the front powerlog, ceramic cross over, new CAI, TB spacer, TB heat shield, and front poly motor mounts, so yes i did notice a difference but by itself i couldnt tell you.
i noticed that you said byron is about 2 hours north from you. byron is about two hours north from me. where are you located in the wonderful state of illinois where tints are illigal and front plates destroy the looks of the Monte!
I also live in Bloomington/Normal also. Luke next time you go up there or next time you know they have a test/tune day let me know. I've been wanting to take my car up there and see what it runs down the 1/4
im in st charles and i go to ECC/ ucla (university closest to larkin avenue) so i get lucky everyday and get to drive but im scared for my car becasue i know that people touch it! ive seen it and it makes me kinda angry casue they drag their fingers across the hood. oh well. when i bought my car the prvious owner told me it will do mid to low 13's and the fastest ive had it up to is 120....... againts mustang gt! [owned him] that wasa good time cause he thought his car was fast as hell oh how i proved him wrong!
Sorry to bring up an old one, but Luke you going to any of the t/t this year?
