Im almost positive the cones are a speed restriction

 

Absolutely, the cones were to keep the cars speeds down. I did not capture the CTS-V there on the track, it was in front of me, guess my stinking remote did not activate the camera when I thought it did. I was trying to capture it for you John.

It costs $50 and you can get as many runs in as you want, depends how many cars are there and such. I usually get in about 5 runs, I take time out in the parking lot to let the cars engine cool down then go get back in line.
They only do it on one Wednesday per month, "Wide Open Wednesday".

Here are a few shots from that day. Ran into a Holden SSV there to, it was really tearing up the track, husband and wife team. His wife also races autocross with another car.
