...which, by the way, went 13.2 @ 105 with just a cold air intake and mail order tune. It now manages a traction/tune limited 8.0 @ 92 in the 1/8 and should do mid-high 11s next time I take it to the track.

Hell, mines not even that good of a runner as far as 3Vs go. Quite a few guys have eeked into the 12s with a CAI and tune only.

But yeah, they're are poop. LOL

All Im saying is that the 3v < 4v.

99% of things you do to both engines, the 4v will have larger gains. Im not going to lie, yes, modding the 4v in many cases is more expensive, due to the fewer amount of them. Would I mind a 05+ GT? Sure. Im not saying their bad cars, Im just saying Id love a 05+ GT that might have a 5.4 4v swapped in it.

Not going to lie... I would rather have a monte for about all of the 70's, and 80's over a mustang. The look of those...

even the fox bodies in the 90s didnt do anything for me, but the 5.0 was just a rock solid engine.

Those are some pretty nice pics though, I wish I had an older stang... maintain that "classic" feel.

Not owning a mustang for a long time I don't know. the gal that owned the stang mentioned 283 horse power or 283 cubic liters still either way not much compitition for the Deuce

the 3v is a fair match up against an ls4 car stock vs stock. should be a drivers race with the slight edge going to the monte just cause of the torque. theyre 300hp and shouldnt be taken lightly. personally i never understood why ford even bothered with the 3v. they should have run the 4v in the gt and the blown 4v in the cobras. like they did with the mach 1 and the cobra, and then gone to the new 5.0. the 2v motor was a total dog.
