I know it's barely note worthy, but years ago, when the '00-'01 Mustang Body style was the current style a friend of mine and I were on the way to Florida. He was currently driving and we were in my 4-door '93 Grand Am with a 3300 v6. We came across that current body type v6 Mustang (hard top, no passengers). He got the guy to race us a bit (was a rolling start since we were already traveling on the freeway).

I was dumbfounded with the A/C blowing two people in my Grand Am, we were creeping away from the Mustang. No mistaken, both these cars had the pedal to the floor. I know the v6 version of the Mustangs and Camaros are more for the person who wants the look but not the cost and wants better fuel efficiency.... But that current v6 Mustang can actually be beat by a '93 Grand Am!! OUCH!

Once you've owned a Stang the feeling neever quite leaves you. My second car at 17 was a 64 1/2 Mustang first year they came out. Course mine was far from new and I had to do a LOT of work on it. After that I owned a 68 convertable. There where others not as note worthy

But with my Monte I like to race the Mustang GTs I can take the older ones but the new ones that came out within the last two years would probably take me. I have a 5.3 2006 SS Monte

These pics are from MANY years ago just to prove I was once a Ford man tilll I tasted Camero

The one of me in the suit was in Detroit 1972ish, the one on the beach Daytona 1974ish, and the one in the Moutains in Tucson 1982ish

3v stangs = poop.

no other way to say it... they do take mods but not nearly as well as a 500 GT or something using the 4v system.
I love how misinformation like this gets posted on the internet over and over again until all the internet car people take is as gospel. It makes it funny when I blow their doors off in my "poop" 3V '05 GT.

...which, by the way, went 13.2 @ 105 with just a cold air intake and mail order tune. It now manages a traction/tune limited 8.0 @ 92 in the 1/8 and should do mid-high 11s next time I take it to the track.

Hell, mines not even that good of a runner as far as 3Vs go. Quite a few guys have eeked into the 12s with a CAI and tune only.

But yeah, they're are poop. LOL

283 HSP
I've owned 7 late model Mustangs now and I honestly have absolutely no clue what this means. What is 283 HSP?
