Either way good luck, and my best advice is to never race a sore sportsmen, nothing sours a good win like whiney excuses, and nothing stings more than a pompus braggert making Tshirts (or something equally obnoxious)to celebrate his good luck. Keep it fun and its nothing more than that.

the race is probably going to happen this weekend hopefully if it doesn't snow again

Actually someone did. I raced my 2003 LS (180 horse 3.4L) against a co-workers father's Nissan 3.5 Maxima or altima or whatever the heck it was. I knew I was going to lose, and was mainly doing it to try out the K&N filter I put in. He ended up coming into work the next day with a White plain Tshirt with a sharpie-job bragging about it. So a few days later I showed up with a shirt with some iron-ons that said:
(note, not actual numbers, I lost the actual slip ages ago, but it was something like this)
Quarter mile in a2003 Monte Carlo LS..... 16.3 seconds

Quarter mile in a 200x Nissan ................... 15.8 seconds

Not having to borrow daddie's car to race......Priceless

He didn't bother wearing his shirt again... lol! But I knew him pretty well and he wasn't doing it to be an **** or even to brag really. We both knew it was for fun, and just wanted to time our cars. I've been trying to talk him into borrowing his dad's car againto race my new Monte, but he hasn't been very responsive on that, lol.
Well when you are able to race, let us know how it goes!

Raced him today after school.
race 1 (sorta) i was telling him how we were going to do it and he just decided to leave so he started 2 cars a head and i caught him and passed him with no problem.
race 2 30 roll had it in 1 and pulled away by two cars from the very start and then stayed the same for a 1/4 mile
it felt good because he was talking a little smack at school and then i put him in his place
