Smile 07 Mustang Gt.....the victory that almost was

I was on my way home from work and was in te turning waiting for the to change. While i'm waiting a mustang stops next to me in the other turning lane.I could see the guy had his girlfriend with him and figured he would try and show off for.So i dropped it down into 1st(i've got an auto, its just more fun to shift). The light changes and we both start to go through the turn before we hit the straight. You tell he had a standard cause he was letting it rev pretty high.As we come around the turn we both stomp on it;i get to 3rd with about a 3/4 length lead doing about 50.I finally get it into overdrive and get it up to about 60 or 65,unfortunatly by this time he gained a 1/2 car length lead.I think i could have regained a lead but someone pulled in front of me a hundred feet or so ahead so it was required that I bring the speed down swiftly. This may not seem to spectacular but it's not half bad when you consider that he had about a 60-70 horsepower advantage with a fuel injected 5-speed.

Factory Mustang GT 300 h.p 320 ft./lbs. tq.

The only things that I've had done to it are the installation of the
edelbrock intake and carb.Otherwise it's pretty much factory.
