i so need a recorder. lol anyways i was going down the interstate tonight (77)just crusing 65 ish.look to my right and see a new civic si with a camaro rammed up his butt.iam in front of them by 6 or 7 cars before they merge on.then i heard nothing but fart cannon.the camaro was behind the civic about a car or so.finally the civic was door to door with me.(65)i punched it and pulled a car on him before i let off and let him catch up. i looked over to see how close the civic was and then came the z28.he was a 1/2 car behind before i relized it and i punched it.he passed and pulled about 1 1/2 cars on me. but he didnt get any farther than that we stayed the same distance apart up to 120(from 70) before we both let off (traffic).so me(monte) and the camaro are door to door.i was about to honk so we could go.he takes off got about 2 cars on me agian stayed that way till he let off. i was really suprised at the race i thought he would have totally destroyed me.as i only have a stock l32.not sure if he was stock or not. had a sweet body kit and was lowered. sounded good to.i believe it to be a 2000 z28 gonna say the civic was a 07 i think thats when they started them. mines a 2002 montecarlo ss l32 swaped. after that the civic caught up to me agian. he was about to my front fender .i gaged it and absolutly raped him.then i went on my merry way. cant wait for the headers and pcm

 

good kill. How much did it cost to do the swap? What else do you have done to your car?

 

i had done a top swap but blew the motor. was at morads looking for a motor with low miles.i was gonna put the stock l36 back in.then i saw it thier (l32) i asked how much 1700 for the engine 300 for harness and pcm to make it run so 2000 mind you i had all the other parts from the topswap.i could have gotten it cheaper but i wanted low miles 50 k.was way easier than the topswap to.and i only beat the civic si not the camaro

 

it could've been a v6 camaro with a body kit and just have z28 logos. I ve seen it done alot. Just like guys with ls, lt, and ltz monte's who ad a mod or two and all of a sudden its a super sport. a v6 camaro with everything you could do to it short of nitrous, super, or turbo.. would be just a little faster than a na 3.8 monte... But a z28 which has a 5.7 would wax the hell out of na 3.8 monte. I know this from personal experience with a friend of mine's modded 03 3.8 na ss. He raced another buddy of mines 02 tran am with a 5.7 and the trans am stock flat waxed the modded 3.8.. Of course none of the above would want any of my z06

 

no mistake it was a v8 hands down.i have friends with the v6 with exhaust ect doesnt sound even close.100 percent sure it was a v8 just not sure if it was the lt1 or ls1.but looked to be a 2000 ish.and yes it would wax a n/a 3.8. good thing i swaped a s/c l32 in huh lol.and ill hit ya back when i bolt on a turbo.
