Im looking for some emblems for my monte. When I got it It only had the "SS" emblems by the wheels. So I believe Im missing 1 more ss, 3 monte carlo and then the bowtie. Im looking for them in red but at this point I will take any color and just paint them.

 

I assume you have a 2004 Monte Carlo?

In 2004 if you had an SS withOUT the supercharged 3800, you only got the SS on the side of the car. If you had a supercharged version, it would say Supercharged SS on the sides.

It's the only year that this happened.

 

yes I have a 2004. but I thought that it was supposed to say montecarlo right next to the SS. Also my trunk is bare no emblems at all.

 

The trunk was probably debadged by the previous owner.

In 2004 it was the only year they didn't put the Monte Carlo on the sides of the car next to the SS.

 

good to know. Anyway I would still be looking for the emblems for the trunk.

 

Chibi is right, my '04 came with only SS on the lower rear quarters (and I too thought it was a mistake or change by the previous owner, here it was an '04 Factory thing). I added the galaxy gray Monte Carlo emblem and moved an SS over on mine.

To my knowledge, from the factory, on the SS models, the Monte Carlo emblems were the same color as the body of the car (which I was not a fan of). So when I changed my rear quarter emblems around, I swapped off the blue Monte Carlo trunk emblem for a galaxy silver one as well.

Correct my 04, blue, Monte and DD only has the red SS on the rear side quarter panels no script of Monte Carlo

It does kind of look like someone took it off but it never had them

 

I've got 3 red SS emblems if your interested: 2 measure 3 x 1 and 1 measures 2 x 1/2 , one has a chip that you should be able to see in the pic, otherwise they are in pretty good shape. I bought them as part of a package deal. $5 shipped. PM me if anyone is interested.
