Unless you are getting an AWESOME deal, don't get a K&N. It's a HOT Air Intake, not a Cold Air Intake. Issues to know about (and search the forums:
- It's Not Insulated
- At least one member had to get the snorkel tube warrantied (head disfigured it).
- The hole to the "box" where the snorkel tube goes through is HUGE with no insulation around it.
- Lacks a lid
The K&N "box" for it serves almost no value. For what you will pay for a K&N brand new, you aren't far away from a better quality one (and if you plan to make the K&N one better, you'll spend the money and time you should have just getting a better one from the start).
A Wizaird or one from MCF sponsor Cold Air Inductions would be a better way to go. Just my 2 cents.
