I ‘ve been thinking about my spoiler on my 07 SS for some time now, I have looked at the “surfboard” the NASCAR, the vertical (which is already there) I thought the best looking one is the Intimidator III, which is no longer available. After seeing a wrecked MC with the vertical I had the Idea to use it as a template to reproduce the Intimidator III. I have done some work with fiberglass before (mostly straight lines)

I have a 24 x 38 x ¼ plastic sheet . I plan to cut this sheet to make the vertical part of the spoiler
Then I plan to cut a slit into the top of the spoiler I purchased. And to cut a curve at the bottom to incorporate the hump on the trunk lid.
Then I plan to epoxy the sheet I cut into the groove in the spoiler
Next I plane to fiberglass over the whole thing to hide the seam and then sand and paint.

Do you think this will work? Any suggestion to make this work?

 

It's worth a shot. Might look cool and be unique. Keep us updated.

 

Check out the xenon spoiler. I know its taller than the nascar spoiler but from photos it seems to be as tall as the intimidator III. This might be a better template for you who knows?

 

I haven't seen that one, let me look it up. I wonder if it could be a better template.

 

Xenon 4465, | Xenon carid used to have it but i didnt see it on their site. this is where i ordered mine at but its on back order so i havnt gotten it yet. i imagine it'll fit on the 06/07impa...MONTE
