Hooray for no strict tint laws in SC! 27% +/-3. But they don't really check it unless you are at the beach or look like a wannabee thug gangster. Quick fix in SC? Roll all windows down before cop gets to the car. I have 18-20% on my cars.

20% should look alright, it depends on the color of your car tho also.

Personally, I don't think tinting is too difficult, but the rear window is a pain to not get dirt and stuff under.

As long as you don't get dirt under the film and have quality film, getting rid of the bubbles or not getting them to begin with is pretty easy.

With vinyl, it's common to have bubbles initially, most you can push out with the squeegee but the rest is from water that can't be pushed out, when that water evaporates, you can go over it again with the squeegee and it'll look flat again and you won't even be able to tell there was a bubble there.

If you've had experience with vinyl before, i say go for it and possibly have the rear done professionally.

I have no experience with tint. I think I'll just go to a shop, thanks guys. Im thinking 35% on the doors, 10% on the back windows? The law in wisconsin is 50% on the doors, but I think I can get away with 35%.

I tried that once.. I rolled the windows down when the cop pulled me over, and as soon as the cop walked up to my car the first thing he said was "roll your windows back up please" .and then "hmmmm"

Pardon me for the ignorant question, never had any car tinted but am thinking about it. Do they have take the door panels off in order to tint the front windows or can they do it with them on?

Thanks in advance

The rear window in a monte would be really hard to do without knowing all the tricks of the trade. If you do want to try it check out some videos on you tube. There are a lot of them and it really does not look that hard but it takes a lot of patience. I have been debating on doing my own for a while now.
