Any idea what turns aluminum this multi color???

that almost looks more like what happens to crome headers on motorcycles from the heat

heat from under the hood the crome peaces under my mustang did the same thing if i didnt polish them. i ended geting new ones because rediping them in crome at a custom shop and having the car down for three weekes wernt fesable at the time. till i got my monty carlo i wish now i had the chance on rediping them now then geting new ones.

Id just liek to know how to do this to my SC. Mabye its annodizing.

crome it and a blow tourch lol j/k ... maybe you should email the company and see what they say maybe u can send em you Sc and they will do it

How about powder coating it and adding a top color to it?

Thats not anodizing. Anodizing is an electroplating type process that almost dyes the outside of aluminum a certain color. It will look like this:

yeah that just looks like Stainless Steel after being heated.

IMO, Powder coating looks much better and isn't as expensive as electroplating.

I stand corrected. You have to use this very weird looking paint-brush and you'll have that look...
