I have a 2007 Monte Carlo LT. I notice my trunk latch is wearing. Is anyone else noticing that with there Monte Carlo? I am talking about the actual latch - bottom portion (not the top mechanical part). The metal just seems to be wearing away.

 

a picture would help out alot here... may just need to be unbolted alighned and tightened down

 

I will take a picture. It looks like the metal is slowly wearing away from opening and closing it. Other door latches seem to be fine, but the trunk just looks like it is wearing out faster than it should. Can someone check their latch and let me know? Thanks
