Well SS trim go back in place of LS trim without modifying anything

Im sorry I didnt even think about it. IIt's a 88 LS and I want to make a SS clone. I just picked it up last night. Thanks its great to be on the forum and have one of these beautiful cars

One of the old school Monte owners should be able to help you about questions if the conversion will work with out body modifications.

Owning an 06 SS I couldn't guide you on that

Barbara you have an older Monte can you convert trim from a LS to a SS?

I am not sure what, if any, of the trim is interchangeable between the SS and the non-SS, because I have not tried to put any SS parts on mine.

I read it it didnt really help sir all im basically wanting to know is when I take the LS molding off can I go strait back with SS or will the molding holes no be in the same place. Is there anything stoping me from a direct swap

It shouldn't be too hard to fabricate, there are lots of guys that I have seen do it to their cars. There is a guy in the next town that has an ss front end on his ls, so it has to be able to be done.

The side molding, will require you to drill and place hang clips (not certain of their actual name) just like on my car.
