I have a silver monte SS. I want to put either candy apple red stripes with the same color on the ground effects. Or a dark blue has anyone done this? If so did you do it yourself or have it done professionally ?

 

Here's my 2 cents:
Depending on the color of your interior... Should determine the color of stripes. However, I can't help but to say you should go with black stripes. (Silver and black compliment each other)

You can get vinyl applications and do the stripes your self!

What color are the ground fx? Sometimes doing more then 2 colors can be tricky.
Any pics of your ride as it sits now?

 

IMO sometimes you gotta go with your gut, if you think something is gonna look good sometimes you gotta try it. Silver and black has been done, not that its bad to look the same but maybe you want something unique. I have the only Monte Carlo iv seen with my color scheme. I have red body, silver ground fx, light brown (creme) interior, blue stripes/engine accents and purple lighting (interior and exterior). Its unique and may be a little much to some people but I love the way the colors work and stand out in a crowd.

 

Welcome to the forum, bottom line is do what color YOU like best. You will be seeing it every day. My custom SS stripes are painted on, but many on here have purchased the vinyl stripe kits. At least that way if you dont like how it turns out you can remove them. Good luck!

 

Your headlights make me jealous. I found someone selling a monte with a set and was tempted to see if they wanted to trade.

 

The way my car sits now is all silver with the charcoal leather interior. I would like to do a dark red for the ground effects and stripes for the hood.
