I will go against the flow on this, even though the orange stripes did look great on your white Monte, remember you soon will be adding a Ram Air hood, which will be your center point on your Monte. Ram Air plus orange striping will be too "busy" remember you also have Roof Rails which will look great also with the new hood! If it were me, i would not be worried about losing the stripes, but it is not my car or stripes lol, so as usual its up to you. If you get a chance, google Kim and Jim's 01 Monte Carlo for some inspiration, after you see those pictures i am sure you won't miss those stripes.

I really like the orange stripes on the white. I think it looks really good. I say orange stripes. I see what Jomao_o means by being to busy with the hood though.
Some really thin stripes might look cool. Either way go, you have a sicc ride.

 

I would have the orange stripes come down the side of the hood scoop into a fine point with the stripe point would be meeting at the end of the hood scoop point. I do not like the stripes that go all the way down. It would be Similar to the one camaro with the black stripes down the sides of the scoop, except they would not go completely down to the grill. I'd have them gradually increase from the fine point beginning of the stripe to the full size stripe of your width (10 inches or so), and continue them over roof and down trunk. round them similar to the way they were before on the front of your hood on the trunk lid. IMO that would look sweet. White and orange is classic, and I love that color scheme so I think you should try and keep it
