I just think that will REALLY spruce up the exterior look of my Monte. I plan to share more pics once I get them. Next exterior thing that needs done is ditching the stock rims (they just don't do the car justice).
Thanks everyone for your words of approval with this mod

Very nice to see it finally getting done ![Smile](https://montecarloforum.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
You're just going to start to stare at the back of the car now and go damn, how could GM ever make that ugly surfboard when this was an option

What I REALLY think is "How in the heck did GM allow any Monte out of the factory WITHOUT a spoiler?". Seriously, I think the Monte trunk lid without a spoiler looks REALLY bare and not good at all. The surfboard is definately better then nothing at all.

It's been about a week since I dropped the Monte off. I figured I'd stop by and check on progress. Good news is, he repaired the damage on the trunk and sprayed the paint. Bad news.... Even though it was the right paint code, it was too dark. I believe Ralph who is working on the car said there is another "alternate" paint for this code according to his supplier.
So he will be correcting the issue. He said this was a big reason why he got out of collision repair and went into classic car restoration (avoid goofy paint issues from the auto manufacturer).
But, the work looks great!! Once he's done, I am certain it will be fantastic!

Great news!! I got a call from Ralph (the guy handling my Monte) yesterday around 6pm. He informs me I should be able to pick up my Monte this evening (Friday)!! He got the correct paint, had to do some blending and other tricks of the trade, but says it looks RIGHT! I can't wait to pick it up tonight all completed!!
