Big white van decided he needed my lane as well as his own. To be fair, he swerved to miss a bigger truck. (I would have rather he hit the truck instead of me.

Anyway, it Mushed my passenger front fender, bumper, wheel and crushed the mirror, and it scratched the door pretty good. I took off what was left of the mirror, it was hanging by the wires.





Already talked to my insurance adjustor, got an apt at the body shop.

1st call to my insurance company, call center, they wanted to take the car to their facility, in case it wasn't repairable.
I told them it is repairable, and no, they are not taking it to their facility.

 

That sucks. Insurance claims on these cars are starting to get scary cause they are old and they want to total them now. The other driver stoped though right?

Yes the other driver stopped. That's his refection in the window as I was taking a picture. Afterwards, the cop said we should have stopped the truck who cut him off, that was the real cause.
My insurance said I'm not at fault, so 0 deductible, but its still a claim.

 

a repair is never a good repair cause itll always be in your mind, so sorry dude . i could only imagine if that was my 7th gen.

 

Seeing the damage to your Baby makes me feel like I'm going in for a Root Canal! I know you handled it like an Adult but it must have been hard to contain the Rage you felt. Good think you don't work with Gamma Radiation! Lol Hope it turns out Better than Perfect!

Man, that makes me mad just looking at the pic.! ! If that would have happend to me I'm sure I would have ended up in jail.lol You can cus me all you want but stay off the car! Glad that no one got hurt.

 

That is unfortunate, but it looks like you are taking the right steps to getting it fixed properly. The worst part is now your car's Carfax will say "Accident Reported 3/19/2014".
