I have been working towards repainting my car this week. I started at the front fenders and worked my way back to the rear quarters one side at a time. I finished both sides and began work on the deck lid. To my surprise, i found a lot of rust under the spoiler. Has anyone else experienced this? Ill attach a picture late when i get to a computerr for all to see.

 

Is the rust around the mounting holes? If someone installed the spoiler and didnt rust proof the holes after they drilled them in the decklid, then it is very possible for rust to begin there.

 

Factory installed spoiler... Be careful people!!
