I recall Chibi found that the foot print of the surf board was a bit larger though and some scuffing was on the paint for the trunk lid (he eventually got his trunk lid repainted because of it).
All is correct :P
I used to have the surfboard (only option on the Monte SS in 2000 when you didn't get a pace-car)

Then I found out that the stand-up spoiler from a 2006-2007 Monte Carlo SS would fit directly on my car because the bolt holes are the same.

(My Father's Car)
But when you rip the surfboard off of your car, you can see from the sticky tape and years of being stuck to the car, there are marks that don't get covered from the new spoiler:

So I had to get the trunk-lid repainted (Thanks to member Montelicious' b/f)

And now it is beautiful!!!!

I didnt know they repainted your trunk when you changed spoilers. Because I still need to have my pace car spoiler mounted. I was hopeing that tape stuff would all just scrape off when my shop did it. But we will see.
Jaws you could get lucky and not have to repaint it all depends on how well the double sided tape sticks to the trunk lid or better yet the spoiler. If or when you do this I would say use a heat gun or something similar along the egdes ,being very careful though, to help with the removal of the spoiler.
