Exactly what I was thinking too?!?! But this is great to see this happen. Do you have an idea of the costs that is involved doing this.
You can always tell your wife look what I won at the Car show?
Not quite sure if you are asking me how much the PVC mock cost (not really very much) - or the actual cost in total to do the custom headers or are you asking me how much this build is going to cost me (a lot of $$'s)??
I did notice you's got a kick out of my header patterns that were PVC -needless to say it is an excellent way to mock up the headers - if you don't like the way one way looks or you can't get equal lengths for each cylinder - you can always take them apart and try another angle in just a matter of minutes ( and if you are paying the tech by the hour - minutes is a whole lot less expensive than hours) - works real well. My builder just told me he's got them together now and it only took about 200+ screws - now to make the real thing. - the car will go out to California with the mock up more than likely - couldn't get the finish product done in time anyway. Pictures to follow soon.
Almost forgot - winning a car at a car show and telling my wife that - if only life was that easy.

When debating on whether or not to use an automatic or a 6 speed - one of the very reasons I decided to use the manual was because it is slightly smaller and would fit somewhat better - tight as it is. The route to go with the automatic with the power I am anticipating was a 2 speed powerglide - but after all my due diligence - it would have been a miserable option for something driven on the street such as I want too.

IMO you made a good call on that one. Glides suck for a street car, especially on the highway. They also kinda kill the usefulness on any racetrack outside of a drag strip too.

Made it to California today - for all the sheet metal work & cage should be back at the shop in 6 weeks - As you can see now in the picture - this is truly a real rear drive car. - This photo was taken from a
