Plasti Dip Paint Job?
#23
Went ahead and also ordered the Kato Combat front bumper from Andy's Auto. I'm super pumped for this build due to the fact that I haven't ever seen these fenders or flat black on a Monte. I know that some of you think that the Kato kit is too rice, but I like it and I want a Monte that you'll never see another like. Starting prep for paint and removing front bumper cover tonight!

Check out this guy with the F1 fenders:

I really wish he wouldn't have ruined that build with those ugly 20's :/

@Enzo I emailed you back!
Man I'm pumped for my build. PlasiDipping next weekend. Not sure on if I'll be able to put this bumper on without professional help though/: And with some black 20's that are still pretty non-showy and low profile tires that car would look sick!
I was honestly thinking about buying some black 20's or 18's for my car that look similar to the stock rims except way skinnier. Only 5 or 6 strut things on them though.

idk why plastidip seems to work for some and not for others, but i can tell ya i plastidipped my rims a while back (i'm thinking it's been well over a year) and they still look good. I used to clean it up with tire shine, but soon realized that if you drive ANY gravel, you'll be scrubbin for a while. Good luck and show some pictures. . . . if it looks half as good as that camaro, i'd say you did just fine

Yeah, it is a just a temporary flat black, unless I love it enough to redo it every 9 months or so to keep it looking new! And this isn't a car I'm going to sell. I also have a 2010 Civic Si that is my DD. This car is to put the muscle into and have it as a fun driver. When I bought it, it actually didn't have a transmission or engine in it (had been turbo'd and destroyed through no coolant and no good tranny). And @Jester I love those rims/tire combo. You sir have a sexy MC.
