yep thats it but i wanna add, whoever hits the brakes has to pump them a few times and then hold them down pretty hard.

i just bought the g2 kit for like 38 bucks off of ebay during school today, should be here saturday at the latest, ill post some pics when the jobs done.

Sooner you get those pictures and reports up, the better. I've been wanting to do this job on my Monte for a long time, and this might be my chance.

My landlord would love this.

Got my replacement calipers from Morad, and my G2 kit today. The kit looks like a tiny amount of paint, but it goes a looooong way.

The calipers look pretty good. Seems the General doesn't take much pride in forging calipers, they are really rough, but the paint does an ok job of filling the inconsistencies.

not paint!!! its epoxy!!! haha, do you think ill be okay with putting it on with the caliper on the car still, im taping everything around it still

hell yeah man looks great!!
i wanna add something for trewyn15, if youre planning on doing the back you need a special tool and you have to know exactly waht your doing so be carfull. i tried to mess with back brakes befor and really messed it up so be carful.

I think you should be fine doing it with the calipers on the car. That is what the directions are written for. It might be harder to get them good and clean while they are still in place, particularly where the back side of the pad is exposed, i can see that causing some trouble, as it is tight against the caliper.

Did you buy a caliper rebuild kit for those used calipers??

Since they are off the car you might as well make them like brand new

I have a whole set sitting in a box, I'm thinking of sending them off to be rebuilt and powdercoated one day

how do you think i should clean them? i was gonna sand down a bit to get some rust or whatever off, then spray it down with the cleaner, let it dry then have at it
