Paint Code... I'm confused...
okay, i've searched the forums and know that the paint code for my '98 monte is located under the trunk lid. everything that i've read says that i'll see something that resembles a 4 digit code that will be the paint code after the "bc/cc". well here is the sticker from my car:

what is the paint code? it's not the 52D... is it?? i thought that the code would start with a 'U'.
thanks.

Hmm... Im not sure why your sticker doesnt have a code on it. I dont think the 52D is the code. It should be a code that looks like U####. For example, my car is torch red and the code is U9075.
You may want to check this website out. It may have the color to your car although it doesn't tell the color code by number but by name.

Or it may be this one: Lt. Driftwood Metallic. 33U

I'm thinking the same thing ? And they usually appear seperate
from the other codes. There are three other codes with a U in it
but that 33U looks like it. My 96 S10 has simular codes but they
are seperate from the list.
If i was you the first thing I would do is call your local paint supplier and give them your year and make (sometimes your VIN too depending on your supplier) and then have them look up that 52D code, and they could mix you paint from there if its the right code. If not chances are they'd have a good idea of where to look to get the right code.
call any gm dealership in your city with the last 8 digits of your vin number.. they will give u your code in 2 mins.. unfortunatly, sometimes the code isn't printed, its happens to about 1 in 60 cars
the code will have be 4 digits or 3 and a letter i.e mine is 910L.. if you plan on mixing your own you'll have to add WA in front.. i.e wa910L
