I just painted my billet grill yesterday flat black and it came out great. I used duplicolor. You can see in my sig what it looked like at first then after in the pics. The duplicolor says that it wound chip and that it is great for cars. I used sandable primer with 350 gritt paper and then paint. Ithink all black would look great on that grill.

If you use a good adhesion promoter primer, you shouldn't have any problem with peeling. But keep in mind. Being on the front of the car, it's going to get the normal abuse the rest of the front bumper gets. Bugs, stones, weather, etc. So it will most likely get the occasional stone chip.

Yeah I drive the highway 60 miles a day so I know all about stone chips grrr. Thanks for the info guys. Your Montes look awesome! I'm thinking on buying an 06 LTZ that I found on carmax.com to keep my monte from being lonely lol. Peace out.

I'm looking at getting one of these too. Probably won't put the emblem on though since I have an LS & all the other emblems are blue, just don't think it would match. The black grille completely matches the color scheme on my car though.

Now that I think about it, I could just paint the sticker blue or find a blue emblem. I have a whole black and white thing going on my car and I don't want anything to be uncoordinated.

Thumbs up

Hurc is right, you have to use an emblem for it to look right. I debadged my monte so it looked fine with the red one since its the only emblem. I did hold my blue trunk bow tie up to the grill and it would work. You could find an emblem to match the trunk in a salvage yard from an impala or monte and use 3m tape to attach it. My monte is white so I went with a red scheme with the red emblem and brake calipers.
