Default Liquid Print - Hydrographics

Over the weekend there was a 'Liquid Print' vendor at a motorcycle event I attended. This company uses a process I've never heard of (hydrographics) to paint graphics on car parts / motorcycle parts / gun stocks / etc. Here's a link to their web site: http://www.customcargraphics.org. They have a video that shows a few parts going through the process. Looks like this company might be part of a larger company called Liquid Print (Link: Liquid Print).

Has anyone ever heard of this or know anything about it? A buddy of mine talked to the rep about doing his bike's fenders and gas tank. The price he was quoted for using one of their stock graphic designs was dirt cheap compared to custom painting (usually the only option for bikes) - only a few hundred bucks instead of thousands.

The results shown on their web site video and still photos are amazing. I'm curious how well it holds up over time. I may experiment on a couple small panels on my bike. Just wanted to see if anyone has any experience with this process.

it's pretty sweet, they did it on american chopper a couple times with the camo print. I've got no idea how it'd hold up on it's own, but i'm sure you can clear coat it and it'd be fine.

Based on what I was told, I'd guess on the order of $60 - $80 for an engine cover.

On another forum there was a guy that used this process to have carbon fiber on some underhood parts and part of his dash and other parts of that sort. I think he said it was around $200 for abour 5 or 6 pieces that were fairly large.
