Sorry still havent had a chance but tomarrow for sure. Actually in the daytime you can still see the outline and the brake light is much more defined. Its just a perfect circle of light no overflow to the top reflector, and at night its perfect.

in my opinion , automotive clear and black as stated is the best and more proper way to tint tails or head lights or any markers at that, but if you are a big DIYer and dont have access to a gun and paint u guys should try duplicolor metacast smoke its a transparent color that will probably look 10million times better then vht and its cheaper and just all around is a better product in a can. you can get it at autozone or murrays, its like $7 i think. wich VHT is $12ish from what i remember. this duplicolor paint will just give u a way better result and its more flexible in a way as vht your very limited to coats within 2-3 maybe 4 coats its way to dark and takes way alot of light output, duplicolor would give u more room for coats giving you a few more "shades of tint" also allowing more light output.

IF you use metal cast your going to be using about 20 layers... I myself would rather have 5 good layers then enough paint that you can pop it off the headlight like its a mold.

Sounds good. Ever try airbrushing tinted flames onto tail lights?? That could be very sweet.
