Arrow Installing a aftermarket grill

My son got a aftermarket grill from APS AUTO PARTS. It is a billet style grill. The instructions are a "sad" attempt at not helping at all.

He removed the "silver piece that has the Chevy emblem in it. (He said that is what he was supposed to do.) Now, I don't see a way to attach it EXCEPT through the bumper cover with bolts.

There are 3 long tabs, with 3 funky little clips that came with it.

It looks to me like you have to "bend" the tabs to get it to set flat on the bumper cover.

Any ideas ??

(IF I knew how to post a picture of it, I would. But I don't).

I'm assuming it's this >> 2006-2011 Chevy Impala /2006-2007 Chevy Monte Carlo Main Upper Aluminum Bille APS Auto Parts Specailist Inc. | FIRST GRILLE SOURCE

Even their website is pretty useless - there's not much more then a picture.

Question

If you fill in the model, etc., it will pull up the picture, and you can see the tab that I am talking about. I was thinking some double back tape, and some bolts, with a plate, and a nylon nut. The only thing under the bumper cover is the styrofoam bumper cover 'support".

It appears that I will have to use some duck bills to bend the tabs to fit the curviture of the bumper cover.

Am I close ??

You may have to make some L brackets to bolt the grille in ?

I'm thinking that I may have to drill through the bumper cover, put a bolt through there, with a plate so that it don't pull through the styrofoam, with a nylon nut.

Not really sure.

Here is a pic for anyone else that wants to see it. It seems like there would be some type of brackets to mount it to.

They sent some "clips" that appear to go over the 3 "tabs" that are attached to the billet grill. BUT, there does not appear to be a way to attach the "clips", because you can't slip them over anything but the "tabs".

In other words there is no way to slip themover the bumper cover!!

I will call them tomorrow.

Right now I am
