I hear you on that, sorry if I came off bad.......You could probably do them yourself with a piece of vinyl, I just haven't got around to doing mine yet.....

If you go on youtube there is a how-to video on how to plastidip emblems on the car. Usually you can buy the stuff at lowes, my job(autozone) just started selling a knock off Armor All plasti-dip spray & comes in a larger can. Unfortunatly if you don't catch it at a sale your going to be paying double than the real stuff..

Coming from someone with an 06 and black emblems, I think they look better when you actually remove the emblem and paint the backside black. Take a pocket knife and plastic putty knife to remove the "gold" bowtie from the silver edge. Just pry slowly, it comes off.
On the back of the bowtie is aluminum foil, which actually gives it the gold look. You can remove it by getting some duct tape and pulling it off. Then just paint the backs of them. To put the bowtie back on, just buy the 3M heavy duty double sided tape you can get at Autozone.
When I did mine, I also put a clear coat on the tops of them to give them a bit of a glossy look. It eventually wore down though with this being my daily driver. Looks good nonetheless!

these are the ones i bought. i got the reflective ones(i know i know) anyways i think theyre pretty good and the fill in the cavity left by removing the factory bowtie. ive had them for almost 5 years and theyve held up well.

Im pretty sure you can. You will just have to use 3M double sided tape to put them back on.
