Default Hood and door alignment

Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum, like today new. I also am a brand new owner of a 71 Monte, as of August 15. I've got a hundred questions right now, and I'm sure I'll have more soon. My most pressing question is panel fitment. My car has new fenders and new quarters, and doors off of two different Cali Carlos. I'd post a few photos of the car but I'm not getting how to drop a photo in, anyway the problem is that the hood rubs on the driver side fender (where it's hinges are) and the passenger door closes about a half inch too deep if its closed with any force, if anyone knows how to fix that door problem please help, I'd think that it'd be a hinge adjustment but I don't think I can adjust it that much. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance I figured out how to do pics, I'll add some of the alignment problems tomorrow

Door hood alignments can be tricky,

My first question is...

Is that a different front end on it?
Was it hit and then repaired?
Without actually seeing it...
Theres obviously some shimming that needs to be done...
It almost sounds like the top of the fender maybe to far in towards the hood for starters. also is it the same side the door gap isn't correct? It could be simply solved by adjusting the fender first to meet up with the body lines as well as the door and hood....
They might all be related to one simple adjustment..

Thanks for joining the MCF Family!

The Hood/Fender alignment is on the drivers side, that one I'm less worried about, but I'll take some pics tomorrow and see what you guys think. The Door/Quarter alignment is on the passengers side I measured the quarter itself, and it's 5 MM thicker than the one on the other side. The car hasn't had any accidents and the fender that has the alignment issue is from a different car, it's also only bolted in by like two bolts, so it's basically just hanging there.
And I look forward to talking to other Monte enthusiasts and spending time on here

There is a striker plate in the door jamb that can be adjusted outward to align the door skin with the quarter panel, but then I would wonder if the window would align with the windshield pillar and roof line.

Edit: On a side note, make sure your unibody to door parting lines are properly aligned before aligning the fenders and hood.
