to make a long story short, i was in a car accident (guy failed to yield, i hit him....his fault) my hood, bumper, HID's, DS front fender, alignment, and some suspension work all got jacked up. Since i have to replace the hood, insurance covers the cost of the new hood but i asked him if i could just get the ram air hood and pay the difference. So im getting the ram air hood and was looking for the SLP cold air intake that allows me to connect to the ram air, but couldnt find it. I know i have seen it before for the Monte carlo, cause i've been wanting to do this for a while. Now that its only gonna cost me 150 bucks, hell...might as well take advantage of it. My question to all of you is, do you know where i can find that SLP cold air box with ram air intake for my 2003 SS? i dont want anything else but the SLP intake. Also, since i cant find it anywhere, would the 99-04 grand prix w/ ram air hood intake work? Im just not sure if the holes would align for the ram air. i know we have the same engine as the grand prix, but just not sure if the holes in the SS hood and the grand prix ram air hood are in the same place. I would assume they would have to be since the airbox is located in the same spot inside the engine bay.

then the grand prix box should work fine.... looks like it comes over to the stock airbox location, same spot the GP's had em in...

 

nice! hopefully you are right! wont know till my car gets done outta the shop and the induction actually comes. both should be done around the same time, like 2 more weeks.

Does anyone know if the airbox comes with the proper sealing for the hood airhole? does it create a tight seal? or do i need to get another piece from slp to make it seal?
