Brake cleaner is VERY bad for paint.

Perhaps a polish and a good amount of elbow grease when washing.

Bug and Tar remover is my first thing to try (use a bug sponge, the type with that netting on it).

I know another guy that removes bird droppings and other mishaps to cars by soaking it with WD-40.

Anything you use, you will want to re-wax the area that wasexposed to the cleaners when you are done.

I'd never use BRAKE cleaner on any PAINT. Never ever.. Bug & tar remover is the only thing I'd trust. Goof off is OK I think also. You don't want to rub thru your clear coat. Most people do not know how thin Paint or clear coat really is. PLEASE be careful when rubbing something off your car's. Bird crap can really hurt your paint also. Thats some bad shi* NO JOKE..
