Post Front bumper spoiler

Hi! This is my first post here on the MC forum, although I must admit I've been watching the site religiously ever since I bought my MC. Everyone here is very respectful and many of the posts have helped me out. Anyways, to the point of the post!

I own an 07 LS and I love the way the front bumper spoiler looks on the SS. I found it and the insert on gmpartsdirect, but I was wondering what sort of modification my bumper would require to attach it. I would assume only drilling a few holes, but I was hoping for a little more insight before I shell out the ~$450 for it. Any knowledge on the subject is greatly appreciated!

are you talking about the upper and lower grille from the SS? If so then read the thread below......

I believe Casmithy means the bumper extension (I.E. High Sports Kit).

You will obviously need to have it painted, install should be a couple bolts in your wheel well AND making slits in your bumper. It should come with a pattern for the slits.

Sorry for any confusion. Chibi is correct, I was referring to the extension.

So, it shouldn't be too hard then I take it. Any idea if it would come primed or not? I have a feeling getting it painted would cost just as much as the parts themselves, if not more. If it were already primed, that could save me some money.

I can't give you 100% that it comes primed, but I would believe that it would.

Ok, thanks for the insight Chibi, hopefully will be ordering sometime soon!

And I have been thinking about swapping the SS grilles as well, but still haven't seen any definitive answer to the fitment of the lower grille. However, I will likely get the upper one when I order the bumper extension!
