Default Driver side door popes when opening

good evening infidels lol i am having quite a issue that i am hoping there is a quick fix. so before from time to time my driver side fender i guess was rubbing against my door, every time i opened it it made a pop noise. now i was kicking some ice off and i hit the lower fender twice....i had steel tipped boots so i guess that didnt help, but now when i open the door it pops, stops and i gotta give it a small push to open it some more and itt pops again, so i was wondering is there a way i can fixed this myself? any suggestions would be appreciated

Hi George,
Is your driver's door rubbing on the driver's front fender ?

You should be able to see 'if it was pushed out of line ? you may have to re-align your fender (?) or kick it in the opposite direction (lol)

Or your Door pin bushings are wore out, they are usually brass and wear out over time maybe the issue ?.

I'm not a body man, but on our BeachBum Van we had to replace the pin bushings.

I hope one of our expert body member's can assist.

Good Luck

It's probably a bent fender... Either straighten your fender back out (removing and bending or banging if you wish), or get the door fixed - BeachBumMike listed a possible solution, if that is what's wrong with yours... Do some inspecting and see what's going on. If the door was sagging, the latch would be marred.

Good luck!

You may have sagging doors too and need new hinges. I know mine was doing that very recent. I tried the easy fix thing to fix my current hinges. It didn't work out very well though. Now I have to buy new hinges.

This happened with my fender on 06 bolt in front rusted off and fender slides down a little and angles it to where your door hits up against it, took it to dealer bodyshop they said we see that all the time he brought over some sort of spoon popped it out. To look correct it would need to be fixed. but getting rid of the noise is as simple as popping it out .
It look like this? maybe a lil more pushed in?
