Dent on the quater panel
Thats what I was gonna say, have someone buff, maybe a little wet sand. You may have some ripples but would look better than that does. Bodywork isnt cheap these days but I would think no more than it needs $500 tops. Maybe they can spot it in instead of painting the whole quarter.
its also slightly dented where the scuff is as well
forgot to mention estimates also included painting the back panel also which like an extra 50-70 bux.

Kinda hard to see the severity of the dent from the photo. Maybe an angle shot with plenty of daylight will help show the depth of the dent. The estimate seems high to you guys but you may not realize, not only are they repairing the dent on the quarter panel and painting the quarter, but they also have to blend the door, remove the name badge from the quarter, remove the door handle, belt molding, antenna, tail light and bumper cover (at least to do it correct). There is also time to mask the car for paint. You have to remember the materials are expensive too and they dont supply them for free. I think 600-800 is a fair price for the repair.
