Default Black or White?

So the RK sports spoiler came in, I used some masking tape to make sure the fit was right and showed a buddy of mine... now new questions are surfacing...

I always imagined I would have this painted white to match, but looking at it black (fiberglass / primer) it has a different (but good) look to it, so now I turn to you guys for an opinion. Keep the spoiler black (paint in a glossy black) or paint it white to match? Thanks for you opinions!

Cool

Wow I think it looks pretty cool black.
I tried to see if I could find some Montes with white spoilers on line but they don't show up to often.
You can always leave it black for a test prior to picking a color to paint it.
If you take some real thin masking tape and follow the pattern of the spoiler around the trunk and quarters then make a pattern for the spoiler you can tape them on and get the proper fastener location for mounting.
I remember doing this on my sons Red 96 Monte.
But I didn't choose wisely when I got the paint cause it didn't cover very well.
But the quality of the is great on the RKsport body kits.
I have the ground effects and really like them for sure.
Good Luck with your mod.

Default White Spoiler

#3 - This is one of the Monte Carlos I test drove while I was searching. I decided against it because it has a ton of rust and was already at 160K miles, plus I wanted a "canvas" to make my own. But it did already have the body kit and white spoiler

Well, I gotta advise getting the spoiler painted white.

Having it black makes it a stronger focal point on the car, sure, but also it's such a major contrast. Black would always accentuate the "tack-on" nature of the part, but white would be the best thing to make it blend and look more like an original part of the car, which makes more sense design-wise.
(Coming from a guy with an art degree )

In my opinion, Z34s should have always had spoilers like this as original equipment anyway, so at least the spoiler itself is definitely a worthwhile visual enhancement.
