De-badge, Door Molding Removal, RkSports 3 Piece spoiler

Been cleaning up the Monte Carlo i bought last week, took off the side badges and door moldings. I have ordered the RKSports 3 piece spoiler but it comes with primer only. I have a drivers side door dent I want to get out so I am thinking I will wait for the spoiler to get here then have the body shop do the dent and install the spoiler at the same time.

I was also considering tints for the sides and rear window. Any suggestions on what % to go to? By law it has to allow min. 35% light

Well it is probably good to go with the Tint ratio that is recommended.
I have some on a vehicle and it is too dark sometimes.

Your spoiler will be kind of a black gray color when you get it. you may want to use a primer that remains flexible. I had that same spoiler on a 96 Monte that I owned and gave to my son. I elected for a one piece spoiler that a friend of mine put on his 98 Monte.
I have the RKSport Ground effects on mine and they are really nice, just sets the car off and I have de-badged mine completely and if I take it to a Car show everyone that stops will ask what it is? :rotfl:
The thing that may really look sharp on your car is headlight covers and tail light covers. You could even do them in White.

I've been looking at some light covers on ebay, carid, google, have seen blackout and clear but no white - any ideas on where to find them? Thanks for your help #3

Hey Andrew, it's a really nice clean Z you've got there; reminds me of mine for some reason! ;)

The very first thing I did to my Z34 after I bought it was to get the side & rear windows tinted. At first I thought that 35% wouldn't be quite dark enough, but the shop did a great job and I'm totally happy how it looks on the outside, and there's no problems looking out from the inside, even at night.

Here's a website that can be helpful when it comes to tint laws in your state: http://www.tintcenter.com/laws/

Thanks Sidestreet! Nice brickyard, I was thinking of getting that model car and painting it to match mine once I'm done with the new badges, tint, wheels and spoiler.

Edit: Attached is the Z34 Badge I ordered for the sides

If you get the clear ones and paint them white, Paint the inside of the light cover and it will be automatically clear coated. I did this and also put a bowtie in for the signal light.

35% isn't very dark for tint at all. There are people that run 35 on their windshield out here!

If you're really worried about getting pulled over for it, then do 35% on the sides and back. IMO any lighter, and it won't be noticeable at all (assuming you're doing it mostly for the look). I've got 50% on the windshield of my GP, and after a few years of being in the sun, it looks stock.

I've got 5% on the back and rear sides with 20% on the side windows of my monte.

She went to the shop tonight, they are fixing a trim issue the car came with on the windshield and getting the tint on, going with 35% on front driver and passenger windows, and 20 on the side half windows and rear windshield. Pics will be up tomorrow if it stops raining!

Now she is tinted! love it so far even though the bass turds at the shop tracked dirt all over the inside and had to shampoo their boot prints out of the carpet and vacuum...
