I like the blacked out look as well, but I don't like my choices either as I drive every morning in the dark in a rural area. So I today I put 35% tint on my headlights, it's only a cling type so no damage. what do you think? Look at my profile at the pics with lights on & without.

 

I have the blacked out pair in my car and love them, didn't notice a difference in the light output at all when I switched them out.
