Easily fixed by just using the OEM connectors though.
Justin, that's what I was wondering. The connectors that came on these lights are POS so if it's an easy swap to the OEM wiring harness I'm going to move those over to these lights.

Also, how did you warm yours up to remove the lens and what sealant did you use when re installing the lens? A guy on GMLS4 Forum opened a pair of these headlights up without using heat, so I'm not sure what I'm going to run into when I go to do mine.

Man now that you guys mentioned "limited" for these headlights I might order a set for my future 7th gen monte before they're all gone like the 6th gen versions
Zach and Matt, they do look pretty Awesome with the clear reflector!

Frank, I do have that second pair. I think I already have dibs from someone else though.

I think I'm going to go with one light coat of Niteshade over the reflector just to smoke it a little bit. I still want it to be noticeable just not as light. Then I'll shoot a light coat (or two) of clear over the whole bezel.

I got you, don't worry. I see you're in the Chicago area. You should come to our Michigan Meet this May (the 18th) in Charlotte, MI. That way I'd be able to give that second pair to you in person instead of shipping them. Just a thought if that would work for you.

I think these headlights with the clear side marker would go really well with the silver.

The first time I opened them up I baked them for 15 minutes at 250 degrees. Worked out well, a few spots seemed a little soft so I definitely wouldn't go any longer than that, or you'll risk melting them.

The second time opening them up I used my girlfriend's hairdryer lol. Worked very well for me going overkill with the RTV, I just heated up around the edges and pried little by little. Either method works pretty good, I just didn't feel like using the oven the second time around.

For sealing them, I first used RTV Ultra Black. I got all of the old sealant out of the channel and filled it with RTV, then clamped the lights closed. After letting them sit overnight, I ran an additional bead around the outside to make sure they were sealed good. But now that I'm doing a retrofit, it was really a pain to get the lens off this time around. The RTV was definitely capable of being a permanent solution.

When I ordered the projectors from TRS I also purchased some of their Butyl Rubber Glue. I've read nothing but good comments about it. Once I get the projectors in right and am ready to seal them up I'll probably use the Butyl Rubber Glue and run a solid bead of RTV around just in case. After taking them apart twice, I want to be sure I never have to do this again lol.

Here's a link to the rubber glue: OCI Butyl Rubber Glue - Accessories from The Retrofit Source Inc

Sweet, thanks Justin. I think I'll have to buy a roll of that butyl rubber glue and go about resealing them that way. Looks like you can't go wrong with that stuff.

Did you look at swapping your Depos harness over?
