That color looks pretty sweet on there actually.

I bought the car used in Nelsonville OH with 50K miles. The car was bought new at Lavery Automotive in Alliance, OH. It has leather, sunroof, power seats, and most available new options like onstar, xm radio etc. It has the 5.3 V8 with displacement on demand. I think the stripes could have been an add on, but the color looks factory to me. It is not mint, but very nice and sounds like a corvette at idle. I had a 2004 LS in Cappachino (gray). It had leather and was very nice but only a 3.4 V6. What a difference this V8 is.

Thank You for the update & your information. It looks beautiful with that rare color...We are not doubting your words, & it is possible that GM did paint 15 Monte's that color that your dealer said...It's just that there is no evidence online or searchable records of that color being a option for that color on a Chevy Monte Carlo. ?

I think Car Fax states the color on their report, so if you can ask your dealer if they can run one for you or ask them more questions about your rare Monte Carlo...

It really doesn't matter `if you are happy with your Monte Carlo S.S. I think it looks great & it's very rare 4-Sure...

Wish you safe/happy trouble`free miles & if you get any more information, please advise your new Monte Carlo Family...Thanks again, & we hope we see you more on the MCF

the stripes and the ground effects arent factory color. the stripes to my knowledge were only offered in silver and i believe black. theyre supposed to run up the hood and on the trunk down towards the bumper not the roof. your ground effects appear to be white so i assume that they painted them that color when they painted the car. the factory only offered them in silver or body color. your car still looks cool though.

Very nice I like that color... Why do you need touch-up paint for it? You could probably find a hardware store that mixes custom cans of paint. One by my house does it for 16 bucks a can

Looks great! I would take it in a heart beat factory or not. I am sure you turn many heads as you drive by & that is what makes it fun!

I have the numbers for the white trim too. It was listed on the trunk lid too. I will send it when I get home and check again. Both colors are current GM colors and I thi k it was sold new off the lot his way. Inferno Orange is on the car fax. I'm not at all offended at anyone that does not think it is a factory paint, I appreciate the comments.

Do dealers buy the car and then paint them at the dealership? I could probably call the dealer in Ohio and they might remember.
