Default 2004 LS weather strip question

Hi new to the forum, here's my intro post if you would like: https://montecarloforum.com/forum/ne...w-forum-47566/
So on to the question. The weather strip on the drivers door, top edge. The piece that the glass slides into in the up position. MINE seems to be falling out whenever the window is down. Not totally falling out, just enough so that the window doesn't seat correctly and you can hear wind noise.
Is this piece of molding normally glued in? In searching the forums it looks like there are pieces that riveted in but this strip does not have any holes for rivets. Looks like a press fit piece.
Just wondering if I can shoot a little adhesive up there to hold it or if there is a proper way to attach it.

thanks

I think its press fit. Id go with clear silicon as it is vaterproof and flexible but easy to remove if you want to.

Clean any debris out of the channel and the back of the weather strip. Apply a thin coat of contact cement to the back of the weather strip and inside the channel. A small stiff brush works well to get the contact cement into the channel. Let them tack up (10/15 minutes) then press the weather strip into the channel. Roll your window up and keep it up for a couple of hours until the contact cement has set.
