The truth is for me:
where i live was 12 miles from work (all freeway)... Now that im retired...
Its convenient for liz....She also has only the 12 miles to travel (we worked at the same place)... But, Once she retires we will be everywhere we want to be once we become fulltime Campers aka fulltimers.
Then we will be free to live drive travel where ever we wish!

Thanks for asking Space!

Thanks `David, for being the 1st to post on this thread...

You have a great dream to look 4ward to in future...Sounds like `freedom to me 4-Sure

I have not been to any other state, but I constantly read many member's state that they don't like where they live & I just was wondering why people stay where they are `if they don't like it ?

I thought it would be a good MCF thread questions to see what member's post about where they are living now...Plus, it fills in some empty space & keeps our Forun active...(Our Sponsor's love to see activity on the MCF & without them, we would not have this SuperSuper MonteCarloForum)

I like where i live(at the same time i dont too) We get to experience all 4 seasons, i'm not far away from one of the biggest cities in the world. I can travel and be in 3 different states with in an hour (NJ, PA, CT) Granted sure there are other places that would be nice to live, but i do like it here.

It would be going too far to say I'm miserable where I live, but the climate sure brings me down. I'm happy enough with Canadian society and government, even though it has its flaws. But "the man" won't just let me just pick up and move to southern U.S. because I'm Canadian, so that's whats holding me back from moving. I went to college to train in a occupation (fluid power automation) which was supposed to be in demand in the US, but I never finished school. And I don't think the US has much demand for any kind of Canadian worker anymore. I always swore I'd marry an American woman to "set myself free", but I didn't play my cards right. Most of my US visits are to NASCAR races - not a lot of single women at those things!

I was born in Detroit, lived in CO, FL, AZ, CA, and now KY but prefer California...

Only downside is I would be living in a much smaller place there because the cost of living is so high in So Orange County (costal).

Heck NO! Although Atlanta is a lot, lot warmer and sunnier than Minnesota, it's much more ghetto and unsafe. I have no covered areas to park in and I worry about my car's safety every day. I long for the day where I have a nice warm garage to park in. Hopefully will be relocating to Alabama in the fall to a bit safer place.

where i live is ok, i have easy access to the highways but yet again i am surrounded by back roads. the roads need to be taken care of better (pot holes everywhere) as for my home i have a heated 2 car garage even though the only car in it is turbo monte because all of turbo monte's old parts and my tools are cluttering up the other side.

i am hoping to soon buy a home with a 2-4 car heated garage and a 3 bedroom home and then i will be happy

I like the area I live in. We have a lot of events all summer long, we are a few minutes away from major Highways and traffic is not bad. Housing is very affordable and most neighborhoods are pretty safe.
