The thread about the '03 Pace car that turned out to be a dressed up '04 SS. I clicked on the link for the car. In the link was a link to find out the trade in value of your car. So I put in my 2006 Monte.

It says:
I still own $8,534 on the car. And $8,585 is the top quote they would give for it? Man that hurts.

Cars are one of the worst "investments" we make in our lives. Their values go down so badly. And as RJ points out, sad that in the life of a loan, you are lucky if the car's value stays with what you owe on it.

 

Man that blows =( I plan on keeping mine forever & ever so I don't even bother looking up what I could get for a trade-in lol

 

That's why it's not worth selling my 03 - it's worth $hit even in the brand new condition it's in now.

 

Thats nothing. My cars trade in value in its excellent condition is right around 2300 bucks. If someone offered me that for my car I would slap them.

I plan on keeping my car too. That was my plan when I bought it.

Anyone else get junk mail from a local dealer asking you to bring your Monte in, so they can offer you a good deal on a trade in? I get them all the time.

Being the pack rat that I am, I keep them. To me it's part of the car's history.

 

I used to get a lot of those trade-in requests, but its been a while since I bought a car from a dealer, so they're down to a trickle now.
