As noted above, if they want it they are going to get it no matter what you have in place for protection/prevention.

I know nothing is 100% protection for my, or anybody else's car, but that's not my goal either. My goal is to make my car an unattractive target for thieves by layering my security. The AutoLock saved my Accord from being stolen, and the likely hood of your common crook carrying one of those tools to bypass it is very low so like I said, I like my chances.

unless you have added protection for your mods (which most insurance companies frown upon mods), of course they would not pay for them because they dont know the value, dont have documentation, and simply dont care. its these damn tuners getting killed drifting and stuff that is messing everything up for modding cars, as well as mods that go wrong and mess the car up electrically

But your "reasoning" is the biggest crock of excrement I've heard. First of all, the whole issue w/insurances and mods to cars was around long before drifting came to the US and well before the tuner culture turned into the craze it's become today. Even with the internet and it's powers at your fingertips, you'd be hard pressed to find numerous examples of guys dying while drifting. There has been street racing and modding going on since the car was first invented, this is nothing new. And insurances have long been of the opinion that they will not pay for aftermarket accessories or non factory upgrades unless the extra coverage was purchased, for years. Way before imports became cool.

It's quite comical that you get your panties in a bunch whenever I challenge your idiotic presumptions.
