window tint

I would just go with the professionals on this. I see lots of people with home-done tint jobs. You can always tell who they are because there's air bubbles like crazy all over the window. Looks like crap.
The other reason to go professional is with the back window. If your attempt doesn't come out right the first time, you risk losing your defogger lines on the back window.
The way I look at it, a professional tint job is cheaper than replacing the rear defogger lines. And you don't get a bunch of air bubbles all over your windows too.

I don't know where in PA you are, but someone local here (Philly) recommended a place called Car Optics.
I called them up, and they quoted me $180 for all 5 windows.
I keep meaning to head up there some morning before work and get it done, but just haven't yet.
If you want there number, PM me and I'll see if I can find it for you.
-Riggs.
EDIT: Oops, now I see that you're in the burgh.
That's what I get for not reading the whole thread.
Anyways, that's what I got for a price quote for all five windows.

We always get the Madico with the lifetime warranty. Don't go to the cheap places and don't get the one year warranty kind, in three years it will fade out. It doesn't faded evenly either, it gets streaky.

i did not consider the defogger. live outside pittsburgh got a quote of 230 to have the windows tinted.going to check a couple of more places out before i decied were to take it.i deceided to have it done as you guys have suggested.more trouble than it is worth. to do it myself.their is a law that the tint cannot be any darker than 30%.that will be dark enough. have a great day

When I got my windows tinted, the guy comes to your house and does it for you in your driveway with all of his stuff in his van. He cleans the windows for you and everything and even gives a life-time warranty if it peels or cracks. He tinted all the way around for me for 130.00.
