Ok. So I have been looking up the RPO codes from my trunk tag. Its for sure an LS (if the front end didn't give it away ), and it has the 7.5 rearend with 2.41 gears. Open carrier. But now I am looking up the suspension codes and I can't find them ANYWHERE. (I am assuming these are the suspension codes since most GM suspension codes are F.)

They are FB9 and FC2.

I found FB9 on a 3rd gen fbody site and it was listed as "fleet incentive capital electric(w-trk ckgst).

Could anyone tell me what FC2 is and tell me what FB9 is and if the description is right...what kind of description is that. I know the LS sport coupe got a firmer and tighter suspension different from the CL, AeroCoupe, and SS. But I would like to know what I am working with. Any help would be greatly appreciated

 

Cars without the F41 suspension got a "G" designation.

Someone on MonteCarloSS.com decoded all the RPO codes and I believe they're posted on SS.com.

Cool LS by the way. But I may be a little bias.

Either strange or cool, some of the codes are still the same for the 1980s to the 2000-2007 Montes.

I know!!! I went to GMMEDIAARCHIVES.com to see if I could get a little more info and I cant find it anywhere. The only "G" RPO code I have is the "GU1" for my rearend (2.41). The trunk tag is really clean so I know I am seeing the numbers and letters right but I have been looking up the codes and could it be a typo for FB9=F59 which would be a front stabilizer shaft and FC2=FG2 which would be front and rear shock absorbers/firm ride? I know it seems trivial but when I am stuck on something I can't let it go lol.
