Well finally getting started on the restoration of my fathers 87 LS that was given to me. Just for the hell of it I checked the RPO codes and one is confusing me. The RPO code is Z06. I thought that code was for the corvette only. Does this code mean something else for a Monte? Also did gm keep more specific production numbers for these cars? All the Monte's I have looked at are not equiped like this one. My father told me he went to 19 chevy dealers before he was able to order the car the way he wanted it. The car is equiped as follows: 1987 Luxury Sport, lg4 305, 4 speed auto,posi rear,f41 suspension, full gauges with tach,custom luxury interior,am/fm/ cassette, checkerboard rims, rear defrost, power windows,power mirrors, no power seats, no vinyl top, no t-tops. And to top it off, every piece of paper from the hand written order sheet to the window sticker and everything in between. Any help on the code and production numbers would be great.
