Who has over 120k miles on their m/c
I have 155K miles on mine. I drive it about 80 miles a day to work. So far its been a pretty reliable car. I have had a few problems with mine. I had to replace the intake gaskets, front brakes, both coolant elbows, and valve cover gaskets. The transmission is now starting to give me problems when its cold, but come out of it when it warms up. I suppose that will be the next thing that will need to be replaced on it.
156K on the Intimidator SS. I bought it with less than 5K on the odometer in show room condition from a FxxD dealer in PA on Ebay for half price. Had it shipped here. Still saved about $5K on it.
Other than brakes and tires, the only real problem I've had has been breaking flex plates. I'm on my 4th or 5th on now. Really don't remember. I twisted the center out of the 2nd one (NOT stock anymore!). I've gotten good at pulling the tranny. I think I have a strut mount going bad right now, but I'm not sure.
And I'm about ready to replace the brake rotors and pads. But the rotors are Powerslots, and I had them on my '01 SS LE before this car. They had 35K on them when they were exchanged with the factory brakes on this car, so they have over 190K on the rotors! I MIGHT be able to turn them one more time. I'm going to try.
That's still not bad for a car that is now driven primarily in the Michigan winters. That's right, this is my winter beater.

PacerSS where did you get that hood made???? i thought about making one exactly like that but i didn't know if it would look good or not
and i'll have this car in one form or another til' the day i die.

The '81 SC is right at $150,000 miles.
The '86 LS is at 212,xxx miles. Second engine. In 1997 my girlfriend was out smoking the back tires one friday night while I went with a buddy to look at a '55 Chevy 2-door Wagon.
When I got home I hear, "There something wrong with YOUR car."
(why is it always mine when something goes wrong?)
Local transmission shop said the torque converter splines were stripped out. They were able to save the 200-4R trans. But they still charged me $700 for the work.

You can add valve cover gaskets , serpentine belt, and coolant elbows to my list.
Personally, I think running the heater hoses through the atlernator bracket is one of the most **** poor designs I have ever seen.
So I guess that makes it...
Everything the previous owner did (nothing major to my knowledge, know he had the transmission flushed at 50,000 miles though)
Two sets of tires + Factory set
A/C replaced in April '07.
Warped brake rotors in March '08. Run Akebono street performance pads. The current rotors are starting to warp some.
Spark plugs and wires replaced in August '08
New battery in February '09
Tires in August '10
Transmission flush in October '11
Valve Cover Gaskets, heater hose elbows, and serpentine belt in December '11

My big question..... Those plastic elbows fail so frequently, why is there not a better after market solution? Like a solid elbow (maybe stainless)?
At least they are CHEAP and readily available at the parts store.
and someone mentioned the alternator support bracket being in the way of the HC hoses, I've had no issues running without the bracket, the alternator has enough support it wont budge
