I thought I would be ready to take my car to the local LS4 meetup and car show but I wont be ready I cant get it done in three weeks. I still need to get her painted, Brakes done and replace the interior and trunk carpet and detail the engine bay.
This is the first LS4 event that was close enough fro me to drive to.

If its driveable take it anyway, meets are about meeting other people and only partly about the car.

 

The First meet I went to, my Trans and Suspension were bad. I couldn't keep up with the other Montes, My Pass Lock system locked me out when it was time to leave! And yet I had a Great time with Keane, Devin, Ryan and Jim. The meets are more about meeting the people you have been chatting with about Montes. Meeting folks who have the same interest I'm their cars as you have with yours. The great thing about MCF is that you are included just because you own a Monte, not because it is Showroom ready! Meeting these folks deepened my resolve to continue to work on My Minion and get her into the condition that members Like Keane have theirs in! That's what the Meet and Greats are about. No one laughs at your Monte. No one pressures you to get it into Showroom condition. And no one has ever said to me, "My Monte is Better than yours!"
Go to the meet and take your Monte, have your Mrs, Girlfriend or what ever drive the Impala. Take Both Cars! And have a great time!!!

 

Best words EVER! I agree 100%. And if the car is not drivable, if you spent any time on forums learning who these guys are, show up and put faces to names

 

and my 5th gen used to puke coolant all day at our meets, never stopped me. now I don't even own a monte and still try to get to the local meets, it's always a good time!

 

Everyone here nailed it, JC especially. Bring it anyways, it doesnt have to look perfect, if it drives bring it. We always have a great time no matter what the cars look like, its about meeting new people and making new friends and im glad i did because the friends i have made on this forum have become some of my best friends and we meet many many times a year just to hangout

 

Thanks Guys! I am going to the meet! I want to meet some of these people I have been talking to.

@JC Colon I never had the thought of taking both Cars! I'll ask the wife about that.
